The Candidate
The successful candidate will have a track record of driving net new distribution sales into the defense industry and exceeding quotas of at least $2MM. You’ll be technically strong in electronics, and ideally, you’ll be a military veteran who has served in EW, SIGINT, or related fields.
We are a small, founder-led company, and you’ll need to excel with limited supervision and be willing to step in and help when necessary, beyond sales, to deliver on our commitment to an unmatched customer experience.
You’ll be comfortable discussing system requirements with engineers, and procurement/programs/contracting with business teams. You’ll be familiar with government and program contract cycles, and relentless in your personal development as a sales professional.

The Company
Cyntony is a specialty distributor of antennas, RF electronics, and monitoring systems for defense applications. We serve system integrators building platforms for direction finding, SIGINT, electronic warfare, tactical communications, counter-UAS, GNSS protection, and related missions.
We're not a catalog operation. We bring real technical depth to the sourcing and specification process — and our customers, the ones who know us best, rely on us for it. The opportunity in front of us is everything beyond that installed base. This is where you come in.
The Work
This is a full lifecycle, net new business role. Your job is to find and win customers who don't know Cyntony yet — system integrators who build defense and intelligence platforms and need specialty RF and electronic components and subsystems.
There's no famous logo to open doors for you, and while our long-established digital presence generates strong leads, this role is about prospecting to create opportunities rather than just waiting for inquiries. We have a well-defined, targetable universe of roughly 1,500 to 2,000 relevant prospects, a technically strong product portfolio, and a company that will support you without micromanaging you.
Your quota starts at $1.1MM and grows to over $2MM as you build your territory. Commission is uncapped.
You'll work remotely near Boston, the DC metro area, or within the California defense corridor — San Diego, Los Angeles, or the Bay Area — with regular travel to customers and industry events.
What It Takes
You know this world from the inside. Your background touches military electronics — signals intelligence, electronic warfare, tactical communications, and RF systems. That might come from military or IC service, time at a defense contractor or integrator, or years selling into these programs. You know the players, the procurement landscape, and what engineers in this space actually care about.
More importantly, you hunt. You don't wait for opportunities — you create them. You're comfortable making cold contact with technical buyers, building relationships over long cycles, and closing deals that require genuine effort to win. You've done hard things before and have the track record to show it.
Compensation
Base salary is approximately $120K. OTE is approximately $250K. There is no commission cap — what you earn is a direct function of what you produce. We offer competitive benefits.
